Rift, spray paint on newsprint, 21 cm x 29 cm, 2022-2023
This series developed by chance when I was spray painting other work and I noticed the residue on the surrounding newsprint left fantastic shapes that had varying layers of density. I played on this notion and developed the overlapping shapes. I had also been looking at the architectural paintings of Charles Sheeler and the edges associated with the Precisionism Movement.
