Inspired by all the rainbows made for windows for the NHS during the lockdown. I wanted to use straight edges. The vortex-type image references Hieronymous Bosch’s ‘Ascent of the Blessed’ (1515), and, considers the idea of the state of limbo or flux we were in during the lockdown. The uncertainty is heightened and reinforced by the maze-like architectural geometry - not knowing if matters were going to get better or worse…
